I’m very happy with how this blanket chest turned out. I made it out of 18mm (3/4”) birch plywood for the box, and pine for the frames and mouldings. First time I’ve used birch ply, and it’s a joy to work with. The entire build took me ten weekends of part time work. The finish is three coats of oil-based polyurethane varnish. Made from Jon Peters’ excellent build video on YouTube.
