Leprechaun Trap

This was a school project for St. Patrick’s Day. The kids were instructed design and build a device that would trap a Leprechaun and he would have to give up his gold.

It works on a simple principle. The Leprechaun picks up the gold which springs the trap and the cup falls and traps the Leprechaun.

Surprisingly the trap was tripped but the Leprechaun got away. Hopefully we will have better luck next year.

Neat. Ike see the string around the pin at the bottom of the gold.

I agree with kcrandy, green is the way to go. The little fellows are very crafty by the way. My daughter has even come close to catching one. I have news for him, for half that gold I’d let him go LOL!!!

My friend, an Irishman told me that Leprechaun occur after the twelfth beer. Does your trap uses a cup for beer?
