not much to show for 2 weeks but i do have 3 more boxes with lift out trays in the shop i am still working on.
first i thought i should have a sign at the shows i am doing looks more professional. not that my sign looks professional lol.
These boxes are a take off from the box i make all the time. people at the shows have said the other boxes had a Asian flair to them so i made these. probly never hear it again woods are birds eye maple and paduak and purpleheard 5 coats of wipe on poly.
Next i have someone almost every time ask me if i make chess boards so i made one
so that means nobody will ever ask again that is usually how it works

Great boxes and they do have an asian flare.
I like the sign. It will get peoples attention more than a nylon banner from a big box store.
Steve.

Larry i made this free hand with a router and a pilot panel bit turned out better than i thought it would
Doug the squares are 1 9/16 after doing some home work on average sizes of chess pieces i found the average base of a king was 1 3/8 so this leaves about a 1/8 reveal around the piece which is close to regulation size with out getting into a lot on the math
