Night Tables

Project by mikedddd posted 23 days ago 421 views 1 time favorited 11 comments Add to Favorites Watch

I just finished these night tables a little while ago, they where built to go with a king size bed and a blanket chest that I previously made. The set is built out of western birch, red oak and hard maple. I plan to start on a chest of drawers next and then a wardrobe to complete the set. I built the bed in the spring of 2008 and the blanket chest that fall, the night tables I started this spring then when the weather got nice they sat in the shop until this fall when I finished them. I’ve built other projects in between these ones, it’s a good thing my wife is a patient lady. I have a couple of small projects to finish up first then I will get started on the chest of drawers hopefully later this week.

Nice work. The set will be awesome when complete….....(what’s already done is awesome now).......but when the set is finished it will be completely awesome.

-- Doug, New Mexico.......the only stupid question is one that is never asked!........don't fix it, if it ain't broke!

Thanks very much for all the comments, but I cannot take all the credit as the lady of the house does almost all of the finishing and does an excellent job at it I must say. Once I’m done scraping and sanding I clean out the shop and turn it over to her and she does the finishing, she won’t let me make any dust so it’s not much fun in there, but I’m not complaining. Thanks again.
