The pond I made back in 2004. Every few years I refinished the pond and do the necessary repairs.

Very nice water feature. It’s very soothing to sit and just listen to the water fall. Nice job!

Hey Andrew
This is a great pond and surrounding area. Well built and designed. I noticed looking at your profile that you majoring in fine woodworking. I was just wondering how close you are to graduating and how you liked the woodworking program were your at.

i like the atmosphere the pond creates. did you use any particular design resource or book to help you construct the pond? i might like making one of these down the road.

I’m done with college in December. I love the fine woodworking program at The University of Rio Grande. It’s also nice when the local wood mill the 1 mile from campus.

Nice work Andrew. Like an oasis. Looks like a great place to relax. Since this is outdoors I am wondering how or if you reinforced those miters on the pond edges so they will stay tight. I am asking because I have some mitered edging around a planter box that has been fairly stable due to our wet climate here, but still not as tight as I would like. I thought afterwards that I should have used some bowtie keys, but by then it was too late.

The miters are jointed with pocket screws.
