Floating Top Exotic Wood Entryway Tables

Wood: Granadillo (top), Padauk (legs), Ambrosia Maple (apron), Purpleheart (feet & plugs), Monkey Pod (top supports) from West Penn Hardwoods

Finish: Teak Oil

I started with a Granadillo slab that I cut in half and used as the tabletops. The tops are secured to the supports with figure eight fasteners.

Wow…very nice. Thanks for showing the steps so I could see how the top was made to “float.” Really like that style.

Nice looking tables! I love the grain and the way you cut and used the boards to accent that. Thanks also for the construction pictures – i always enjoy seeing those from different projects
