Farmhouse Sink Replica

Just finished building this child-size replica of an old-fashioned farmhouse sink. Didn’t have any plans; just created it by looking at pictures of antique sinks on the Internet. Dimensions are 51” wide by 15” deep by 30-1/2” high. The back and drawers are pine; everything else is maple and walnut. Two of the four drawers have built-in dividers. I made a fish-shaped cutting board for on top and two goose-head towel holders for under the sink. The towel bars swing straight back or to the side. Both spigots freely turn. All the hardware is vintage 50’s, which really adds a beautiful touch. This newest creation will join the child-size cook-stove and pantry cupboard I built for a friend’s grandchildren this past Christmas; it’s another family heirloom that can be handed down from generation to generation. The next piece of the collection will be a replica of a vintage 1940’s refrigerator. See my other projects for photos of the cook-stove and pantry cupboard.
