Certain styles of furniture feel like an extension of my personality and life style, and the “mission style, and the G&G in particular, are the ones that give me the feeling of comfort with simplicity and hominess.
This table has a bolivian mahogany top(left over from a wood floor job)with the breadboards, and the massive leggs of walnut. The drawer is mezquite with a long curved handle of mahogany, and the pegs and cloud lifts are purple heart wood. It is a very colorfull table. I gave it 3 coats of Tung oil, and in about a week I will seal it with 2 coats of shellac, and a couple of coats of poly.

Very nice, I find a lot of the Arts & Crafts pieces kinda banal but Greene & Greene really kick it up a notch, very nicely done, already looks like an antique :)

Like that floating tenon into the breadboard, saw it featured in FWW a couple of years ago. As Gary said, interesting choice of woods, especially the purpleheart. Great table!

Nice table, I’m finding the Green and Green style very interesting and you have done a superb job of representing it.

My first furniture building project was a Shaker Table which is somewhat similar. I’m sure this gave you a lot of satisfaction. I like the G&G design features; particularly the Breadboard Ends.

I realize that this was posted some time ago, but, I really like your table. I especially like Greene and Greene. In fact I am reading a book about the Greenes and the Halls right now. Exceptional work!
