this is my new shooting board i made for precise 90s and 45s i used beech for the main fence and some scrap oak for the 45 fence. and a new kreg hold down clamp to hold down work and to hold the 45 jig in place. i used melamine for the miter plane to ride on and mdf for the rest. on the 45 fence i used blue tape i between the pieces of oak till i got it perfect then glued and screwed, on the 90 fence i used a starrett no. 20 12 inch square directly on the sole of the miter plane and glued and screwed.

Nice job. How do you keep the plane blade from cutting the shooting board?

thanks jim, the plane only will cut once into the shooting board because the blade doesent go all the way across the sole of the plane and that little 1/4 inch or so of metal always rides on the edge as a bearing surface, i use johnsons paste wax for lube

Do you have to reset the clamp between every pass? This is the first shooting board I have seen with a clamp.
