I really like this bowl. However without finish will it stain easily? I hope not be cause it is so beautiful.

Very nice I love blood wood and working with it. Did that dull your tools pretty quickly? There seems to be a lot of silica in Bloodwood.

A great bowl turned out of blood wood. I liked the proportion of the depth and the width of the bowl. You are in true love with your lathe.

Roper,
Very nice work! Take a look at Russ Fairfields “home Brew” finish here on Wood Central (it’s what I use exclusively). Where did you get a single piece of bloodwood that size, and how much did you have to pay for it?

Outstanding! Love the shape and grain orientation. When looking down from the top, it looks like the bottom is off-center.

Have a piece of bloodwood (2X2X8) that I haven’t decided what to do with it yet. Fantastic turing. Fantastic design.

Keep it up.
