I built this as a birthday gift for a friend who is a former NCAA pitcher and loves the Dodgers. He loves beer and I wanted to try my hand at some Intarsia techniques.
The glove is made from 1/4” oak hobby board, cut with a scroll saw and shaped with a Dremel and some hand-sanding. The ball is an 1/8” hobby disk from a craft store, rounded over at the edges. The structure of the six-pack holder itself is a combination of 1/2” and 1/4” oak hobby board. As an added bonus, I added a commercially-purchased Dodgers’ bottle opener, and then inlayed several magnets in the glove’s basket section to catch the cap as it falls.
Sorry about the picture orientation…couldn’t fix it.
