I made this plane initially with a more classic krenov shape but I didn’t find it to be the most comfortable for me personally. So I reshaped the body and added the handle and knob which so far I like much better. The plane is made of Black Walnut and Jatoba and the Hock blade is bedded at 50 degrees.I put a strike button on the knob which probably isn’t really needed but I think the Jatoba should be able to take more of a beating than the Walnut. I am overall happy how this plane turned out, it’s not perfect but makes some nice shavings!

*Sorry for the weird orientation on a couple of the pictures, they’re from my phone.

Questions, comments, concerns? Insight from those more experienced than myself are welcome.
Thanks BG

Looks nice, what size blade 1.5” ? I built a Krenov style with a 2” Hock but went with the 45 degree angle. Think I may make another more in the scrapper style?
