October, 2009—These two boxes are made from scraps. The wood in the green one did not match very well, so I decided to stain it a green color. I think that just adds to its uniqueness. It has three little drawers. I am actually surprised at the positive comments I get on the little green monster!! The other one is made from wood strips, each a little thicker than a paint stirrer. It has two drawers and looks a little like flowers. I used a very light stain on it. Both have a few coats of wipe on satin poly, sanded between coats with 1200 paper.

Very unique! Is regular wood glue strong enough to glue the small pieces together?

Ning—I used Gorilla Glue. The yellow wood glue, and not their super glue. I have always used TiteBond II for years, and just started using Gorilla Wood Glue this year. I have been impressed with it.
