I got some nice walnut last week and all week it has been bugging me seeing it sitting there on the rack.
Therefore, it is no longer sitting on the rack but is sitting on my workbench. It had some sapwood in it and after cutting it off I used them for the lift and a back accent.
The bottom is lined with Ostrich skin.
It is 9.5”x 6.5” x 3.5”

You really integrated everything with this one. Sapwood works for me! A wow piece! I even like the wooden hinges LOL!

Looks terrific. the built in hinges are a great touch, I wonder if you could integrate Jerry’s “Invisible hinge” into one of these?
