I really like how you matched the grain between the side and the top. That is unexpected and makes this box a true gem. Really nice. I wish you had a photo of the rear, so I could see how you did the hinges. I have not yet made a bandsaw box with a hinged lid, so I am curious. Nice handles too.

I think that’s one of your best boxes yet. I like your design and how you ran the grain. Very nice.

Art: I just used a couple small brass hinges on this one. My next one with a lid I’m gonna try my hand at making some hinges out of wood. Have to get some small dowel. TKS.

Dudley,
Very nice box. What are the overall dimensions? The walnut works very well with the cherry. I especially like the last picture #6 with the end grain on the sides of the box. Congratulations again on an excellent build.
Sincerely,
Ken McGinnis

Dudley, excellent work on this little box. I’ll bet it was fun making. On the dowel note for your hinges, the best wood I’ve found for hinge work is, “Skewers/shis-ka-bob” sticks. They come in a pack of 50. Pretty cheap but they are strong. I’ve used them on several projects. I am favoriting this box. Thanks.
