This little bowl is about 7” in diameter and about 3” deep. I really enjoy the bloodwood – Myrtle combination of the checkerboard. The base is Canarywood. I ran out of Myrtle and substituted a little Chinkapin in six of the light colored areas. I think they blend in well but I couln’t let the bloodwood go to waste. Besides the Welsh ancestors I must have some thrifty Scotch in me too.

Nice real nice work Ill try my hand at some segmented turnings cutting is my problem the saws here are terribly expensive to get, but Ill look for someone that have one and have a go at it,great work well done

Fantastic turning. Your segmented stuff makes me want to try my hand at it again.
Wood combo is outstanding. The Myrtle goes great with the bloodwood.
