A customer ordered a desk top 32” X 5’ X 2” thick. Made of eastern red cedar with a clear gloss poly finish.

Would you mind posting the completed project when done. I would like to see how you incorporate the rest of the desk, drawers, letgs etc. This is really beautiful and I am gathering ideas to build myself an office desk.

Very pretty desktop. But I notice in the photos that it is a bit ruff with some voids in the wood, is it smooth enough for a writing desk?
I would think that the live edge would be to the outside of the desk and the straight side toward the user.
Pretty unusual top made of red cedar … I really like it.
