This box features clean simple lines and a hidden sliding lid design. I finish by boxes with a oil and varnish mix.

This looks simple at first glance, but is complicated. Very nice work!

Very clean and appealing design. Are the strips on the side inlay or glue-up?

The strips a inlay. I just make a saw kerf with a square tooth ripping blade. The inlay strip is thicknessed at my drum sander. Miter keys are cut with the square tooth blade with the aid of a cradle jig.

Yes Dorje – Don will like this one. I’ve heard somewhere that he likes smalll boxes. DeWayne, your work is outstanding. Thanks for sharing.

Whoopee! I just love small wooden boxes – this one is exceptional!

DWW, I don’t believe I’ve seen this “hidden lid” design before – very nice.
