“Lace of the spring” hand carved wooden box.

Box material: linden (basswood).

Box sizes:
Length and width: 20 cm (7,87”), height: 9,7 cm (3,82”).

Finish: Danish oil, box is lined with the cotton cloth.

Technique: chip carving.

Tatiana, I like the interplay of circles and ovals in this design. The side squares are an amazing detail. You have added some shape to this box, and I think I see some curve to the inside of the legs. All of that adds interest.

You can avoid having glue stains in the inside corners of your box by applying finish to the board you use to make the box before you assemble the box. The glue won’t penetrate the finish.

Your photography is improving too. Thanks for the close-up pictures of the details. It shows your work to good advantage. Keep boxing and keep posting.
