Scrap Wood Workbench

Project by michaeldmunro posted 29 days ago 612 views 0 times favorited 8 comments Add to Favorites Watch

My wife and I were cleaning out the garage for a yard sale and I realized that I had lots of “scrap” wood from different odd projects. So… here it is! The Scrap Wood Workbench. I made use of a couple junk lights for under the shelf. Not bad for scrap.

I like it!

The best part about using scrap is you don’t mind if the bench is used and abused. If your bench were maple with a 3” solid wood top, would you want to strip and repaint an old dresser on it? No. But on your new bench you’d dive right in.

It looks like the kind of bench you might want to pull a chair or stool up to. I’d suggest removing that lower front cross support and just put it across the other two side supports 2/3 of the way back as a foot rest and support.
