Segemented vase

Project by tomd posted 28 days ago 361 views 1 time favorited 16 comments Add to Favorites Watch

A piece inspired by Ray Allen, made of walnut, bloodwood, yellowheart, maple, 10”D x 9”H. This was a real learning piece for me so many angles and small pieces.

This really caught my eye going through projects.
The colors are a stunning choice,
and the craftsmanship is precise.

Great job !!

Beautiful, I had to go back and look at all your projects after seeing this one, Ringed Trouble was always one of my favorites. I’ve always wanted to learn segmented turning but afraid of ruining the piece by making a mistake on the lathe and wasting all that glue up time.

That is very nice. I am always amazed at the segmented bowls and how they turn out. Very nice.

Outragouse! One day I hope to be up to that kind of skill level. For now, I will stick with my small bowls/boxes.

Keep up the inspireing work.
