John, That’s one unique puzzle. I’m sure that’s driven more then one person crazy trying to figure it out.

Until I looked at the exploded view I thought that each color was a different piece. Even after knowing that the puzzle looks challenging.
Even besides this is a wood focused site, I like the one that has the wood grain components. It just catches my eye from a “what is that” view.
Craftsmanship is at another level. No figuring during the dry fit that everything will come together after glue and bigger clamps.

Hi Steve, making these puzzles is all about the ‘jigs’ and this type with small cubes can get quite tedious with all the gluing :)

Thats some great work there, it looks like it would be even more fun the the good old rubiks cube!

Funny you should mention the ‘rubiks cube’...as I’m sure you know it still has a very loyal following and just recently ‘Dutch Cube Day’ was celebrated with Erno Rubik present…there was souvenir edition ‘cubes’ with his signature etched on one of its faces, cool stuff…please tell me 1980 wasn’t that long ago, I feel old! LOL

Actually im in the process of discussing with jose the possibility of acquiring the davans name and all its designs. If we can agree on a price, Davans will reopen in a matter of a few months. So wish me good luck!
