This table I made mostly out of veneers (zebrawood and walnut) over MDF and solid wood, with solid walnut legs. The finish is the “Tried and True” varnish (3 coats). I haven’t been doing woodworking for that long so I used the middle of this table to try some marquetry. I plan on covering the middle with stones and putting a bansai in the middle to go with the whole ‘Asian” theme of the table. As of right now it is being stored in my parents basement (as per photo:) until I get a bigger place .

Very cool, should be a good centerpiece of a room.
How high is it?

Nice job. I think your idea of stone and bansai is fantastic. Good luck finding a bigger place… :-)
