This hall table was my own design and done with a combination of solid (walnut) and veneers (zebrawood, walnut burl and walnut). Used a few different joints, but mostly dowels. Now that it’s done there’s a few things I would change like connecting the legs through the middle with a half-lap for better stability and a solid wood (walnut?Cherry?) around drawers edges…among other things. That’s what happens I guess when you’re excited to get started on a project but don’t think things through fully before starting. Finished with 7 coats (I think) of shellac and then wax.

The drawers are beautiful, did the Zebra Wood give you grief? I am unsure as to the position of the legs on the outside off the drawers..
