One day I was wandering through LJ and came across someones project and seen these business card holders. And thought WOW that’s neat! I wanna make some of those, so i made some out of 1/8” Bubingga. and the pens that you see are made of Mahogany,Walnut w/Maple,and a wood i don’t know off(which is the dark one i made at the wood show) and my first pen ever made.i love making pens and thinking of selling them as kit with the business card holders what would you think will be a fair price( may be $30-40$)

I’m not sure of the fair prices these days…but nice work! I enjoy making pen/pencils once in a while….but get bored of it when doing too many. I like the card holders…that adds a neat addition to a set of pens. There is usually alot of pen crafts at the shows….pens, bottle stoppers, earrings….those seem to be the most popular.

The only suggestion that was given to me by a friend that does crafts shows is keep the price down as low as you can, as the folks that come to these are cheap….if your prices are too high then they usually think they could just do it themselves….she also recommended to make your prices like $29.50 or so …and not use the next number up…some folks see this as $20 instead of $30. Its a psychological thing.

Good luck though….and most of all have fun.

Nice job on the pens and card holders. I do a few of the card holders, because they make great gifts to other business people.

Nice pens, Nice card holders. I need to try some card holders. At least one for my bos. He lets me take pallets home. ( my main source of wood)

Great job. Keep it up.
