Hollow vessel #2

Project by Loucarb posted 31 days ago 292 views 0 times favorited 13 comments Add to Favorites Watch

This is my second completed hollow form (I won’t mention the number of failed attempts). It is end grain maple and measures 6” high & 5” in width. It is dyed using trifern’s technique (not near the same results) with a wipe on poly finish. Thanks for looking.
Lou

Very nice work

Loucarb,
Great looking turning! What are the wall dimensions? Have you got one of those four feet long hollowing chisels? Congrats again on a beautiful hollow form turning. I really like the color.

Sincerely,
Ken McGinnis

Wonderful vessel Lou. Beautiful shape, wood, finish and workmanship. You are really on to something with that beautiful maple. Looking forward to your next one.

Great Job!.......It looks beautiful….the finish is wonderful….Joe should be proud of the imitation he has spawned….as the old saying goes…imitation is the purest form of flattery…

I recommend a nice wood burning stove for the shop…(I have a small one in mine)...it works great for incinerating the evidence of those “failed attempts”...believe me…LOL
