I made this for a coworker, John, to give to his wife. Deb collects owl decorations. I made it with my ‘dremel trace’ technique. I painted with acrylic an sealed with polyurethane.

Neat idea. I think they’ll like it. Where could I learn more about your Dremel Trace technique?

Thanks guys. Rance, what I do is first, find the picture that I want to use on my computer and tape a piece of paper on my monitor. Then I size it properly. I trace onto the sheet of paper. Then I take that tracing and glue it in place on the wood I intend to use. After it is tacked up, I take my dremel with a cut-off wheel and at the highest rpm, I follow the tracing, transferring the image onto the piece of wood. Then I peel up the paper, sand and boom! Dremel traced!
