Two 12/4 Blue oak slabs I finished out today for a customer in Los Angeles. They will be used as built in seats in his home. The pics just don’t do justice to the intense grain structure of these old trees. Fire killed on Mt Palomar some years ago—This is some of THE hardest wood around. Wish they were staying in my home !!

Beautiful wood! Makes me want to saw some logs… Only my roller guide bearing failed and I’m waiting for a replacement roller guide.

Rob, those are gorgeous slabs. They certainly have some interesting character and graining. I can well understand why you would want to hold on to them.

I’m stumped what to say… It’s like looking at a great work of Art and trying to describe how it made me feel…

Beautiful wood Socal.
I’m gonna need to come visit your mill sometime. I’m near LAX. How long a drive is it to your place?
Maybe I could take some of your cutoffs off your hands for you.
Thanks for sharing

Sure can’t wait to come down and see what wood you have for sale. You do some great work my friend! I meet with woodworkers for lunch on Wed’s and you were a topic of our conversation.
