I think pallets in the 70s were made of more interesting wood, at least in comparison to pallets i see available today. I gave up trying to reclaim them as they were assembled with screw nails. I used a chain saw so didn’t end up with very large pieces. This small cutting board made about 1975 has stood the test of time and is usually the one we reach for. It is oak and I like the wild grain.
