Fantastic build. Those legs are awesome. Excellent finishing work.

This is a beautiful table. I have not had the opportunity to work with mahogany but I can see what I am missing. The cabriole legs add a nice look to the table that gives it a classic appearance. And it looks like you did a good job with the finish as Bradford said.
How did you finish this table?

Beautiful table. You did excellent job!
Did you stain it? and what is the finish coat.

That is the trade trick most furniture makers do. They do not make every single part if they can save time & cost by out-sourcing.

uh, this is EXACTLY what my wife wants me to build… but in cherry. Now she says make it as nice as yours.
I already decided to buy the legs. I might be bothering you for details by private mail. I’m trying to work up the skills to get to it and I am a bit nervous about how to smooth and flatten a table top that big.
You did a great job… hope I can have similar results.

I stained it with General Finishes black cherry water based stain/dye and then sprayed some Sherwin Williams lacquer.I bought the legs from Adams because they were the only ones that offered them in Mahogany and they were cheap at $40 each. When I first received them I was disapointed in how skinny they were but I was happy how they looked when completed. If I was going to make the table in cherry I would probably go with the Mathew Burres(?) because they look much more substancial in the catalog.Dustyal let me know if I can be any help.
