Oak microwave cart

Project by shopmania posted 39 days ago 318 views 0 times favorited 4 comments Add to Favorites Watch

One of the microwave carts in my office was falling apart, because it was made out of particle board. I made this new one with oak plywood, with an oak face frame and an oak top. Not a big project, but I like how it came out, and it is very sturdy. Put together with pocket screws.
I made the oak top with 2 1×12’s tongue and grooved together, and it made a very nice joint.

I guess your co-workers did not like your microwave cart but it seems they loved your beautiful oak stand. I don’t know if a microwave was put on it in the end but sometimes you make something to serve one purpose and someone put it to use for another.

Nice stand.
