It appears that my Friends on Facebook really liked the First lamp I made, as I was asked to make more!

This one is made using basically the same method as Lamp No.1, but this time the main body is made from laminated Oak that I picked up some time back from a furniture maker. The Foot & Crown sections are turned from 3”x3” Solid Oak.

As I’m Taking a trip back Home to North West England this weekend, I will be delivering it personally to the friend who asked me to make it. She’s seen the photo, and was very pleased….though it looks better in “real life”!

Looks good Keith, yes, I wonder what the Grey material is.

Now look what you’ve started.
Thanks for sharing.

Bob.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

The Grey material is a stone effect spray paint that is available from one of our large DIY chain stores here in the UK (B&Q). Once it’s dried/cured, about 6-8 hours, I spray over it with a few coats of lacquer to help protect it.
