The oak slats that I used were from the cabinet shop down the street from me that closed this past summer. My daughter is a freak of nature and at 3 yrs old is almost 4 feet tall so her head was less then an inch from hitting the corners of the bar. My wife asked if I could round the edges so my father and I did in addition we made up the two other counter tops left and right side of the stove with 1” 3/4 thick all done by hand. I will post more pics from the other side and this week the bar will be trimmed and sealed up.
Thanks for looking, and comments appreciated. This is our first counter ever to make and install. Some of the wood on the bar is Alder because well thats all we had left.

Oops I forgot the trim is going to be Mahogany and to hide the screws we’re going to use the same color as the trim.
