This table started out as one of my 30 projects in 30 days, but I got distracted and didn’t quite finish it. Actually, I barely started it. I cut the legs and glued the top, then went about my business.
Finally, I saw the pieces sitting there and figured I should probably really build the table and this is what came as a result. There’s not much of a story behind it, but I think I really need to address my design decisions. It turns out that with such an open design, there are quite a few exposed surfaces that need sanding and then finish … and then sanding and then finish … and then sanding … well you get the picture. I’m pleased with how it turned out.
The top is 14×40 and the table stands 32 inches tall. It’s made from solid cherry and finished with wipe-on poly.

I usually don’t like rounded feet (unless they have claws…) but this design works.

Thanks for the kind remarks folks.
DHG: The top is attached with figure 8s. They are the best thing since sliced bread in my book.

Can’t go wrong with Cherry, looks great but,,, figure 8’s is a new one to me. can you give me some detail on what you mean on that? Thanks and thanks for sharing. I’ve added you to my watch list can’t wait to see what you come up with next.
