Tatiana, the carving here is wonderful. It is deep and very complex. This is the first time I have seen you use a wood burner to give added texture to your work. The use of empty space sets off the carving on the sides and top and also serves to accent the wood burning on the top. I like the shades in the wood. The stain adds depth and color to the wood. The rounded curve at the top and the feet add an element of interest. The lining and the small sewn house add another element and make the inside more interesting. Is that a button in the middle of the top? This is your best work so far. All of the parts of this box show your work is evolving. Giving your box a title adds to the fun. Keep boxing and keep posting.

I think this is my favorite of all of your boxes that I have seen. I love the button sitting on top! Great work as always!

Love the carving. I’ve seen something similar, though pierced all through, on a range of stringed instrument sound holes.
