Nothin' Says I Love You Like A Chunk Of Box Elder

Lookin’ around the scrap bin before Valentines Day for that special gift, and there it was, a chunk of flamin’ box elder. I knew I kept it for some reason. After tossing it into the band saw and the router, I had something that resembled a nick-nak box. I added a carved rosebud handle out of purpleheart and finished it with spray-on poly…..

Box Elder is an amazing looking wood. Wish I had know about it before I hauled off a tree years ago.
