I broke the tool rest on my Jet lathe and am waiting for the replacements parts so I’m using the opportunity to build some more bandsaw boxes. I recently purchased The Drunken Woodworker, David Picciuto’s “The New Bandsaw Box” book. There are several downloadable templates you’re entitled to if you’ve purchased the book. So I spent one evening gluing up some blanks and finally got in the shop this morning. These were pretty easy to do and the combination of Zebra wood and Walnut always seem to go well together. Both boxes took me no more than 5-6 hrs today. I will say that my cutting skills on the bandsaw have greatly improved. I sanded all surfaces using a combination of a disk sander, ROS, Oscillating spindle sander and hand sanding. Finished to 220 and finished off with 3 coats of satin wipe-on poly. Still deciding if I’m going to flock the drawers? They are 8”L x 3.5”H x 3.5”D. Thanks for looking
