Pallet wood nunchucks

I turned these nunchucks on the lathe out of some old pallet wood. I used old shoelace as the string. They are a bit heavier (due to the taper) then desired. Here is a video of the nunchucks And here is a video on how i take apart pallets,

Heavier is more effective if you are in a position to use them. I’ve made mini-chicks for some martial artist friends and actually embedded a length of steel rod into the handles for weight. Ouch!

Nice job! I like old pool cue handles to make them from. Good to see somebody use the old joining method. I usually use para cord or something similar and very heavy duty for my joining.
