This piece of “furniture” will serve two purposes…one as a fold-able table and the other as a barrier. To explain the second function – we have an RV AND two German Shepherds. Having a barrier to discourage the pups from peeking out the front window is the goal. The challenge is to deal with the hump caused by the engine (ironically called the dog house!) which means the floor surface is not even. After looking a numerous plans and YouTube table videos, this little table was designed. It fits nicely between the two front seats of the RV, is stable, and provides the needed visual and physical barrier. Just two frame and panel sides attached with piano hinge which hugs around the dog house. Made from maple and maple plywood. The top is secured with a couple of wooden rails that fit over the base. The top lifts off so the table base can be folded up and both stored behind the driver’s seat when on the road. Stained to match the other wood in the RV. The second one with the openings was our trial run of the design out of scrap wood…but then my husband liked it so much I stained and sealed it for use outside when camping.
