This is my second Christmas ornament. I guess I have the bug.
This one is a twist on the outside turning technique (I didn’t want to wait for the glue to dry). Done with a Forstner bit, made of one piece of Padauk 2”x2”x5”, finish is rattle can acrylic.
Give one a try…........ Lots of fun !

Brian, I want to give that one a try. Looks like fun. I turned a few for Christmas one year and gave one to each family member. They have been after me ever since to make more…....I made 22 the first time!!! LOL.
I think you just solved my problem. Great job.

Looks great, and I would also like to see the coin to get a sense of size. This looks fun and I am always looking for more projects for the lathe. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice! Wish I could do that but no lathe and no hopes for one in the future. Guess I’d have to make mine with square corners :-). That is just so cool!!!

Outstanding! Great way to “Hollow” out the center piece. Great design and a new project for me.
Keep it up.
