Project Information

I posted this a few days ago, but I hadn't decided on a finish or color. I picked black from Behr Premium Plus, Ultra,, Paint and Primer in one,, I put it on to thick to start with,,took way to long to dry out for me,,after 2 days, it was still tacky (sticky). Oh well live and learn,,then do it right.

Live and learn is right…......!

The chairs look great, though. I'm assuming you used Norm's design? I've been using Norm's plan, and have been making mine out of Luan Mahogany.

Not sure about Norm,, bought the plans from Rockler I think,,I've made both styles (rounded under the knee instead of squared off) both sit very good..

Dan,

Where ever you got your plans, your chairs look great. If you ever want to give Norm's plans a try, you can get his book from the library.

very well done…they look great…..one question…why did you decide to paint them vs using a colored house stain?

Todd Thomas:
The black was some exterior paint I had left over from painting my shutters and front door a few weeks ago. The rest of my lawn furniture is stained the color of the trim on my house, kinda of an off-white
