Finally, after too long, I cleaned off the children’s workbench so they can play with the scrap bin while I was in the shop, and my daughter brought me a peice of purple heart and asked if I can make another wand (since the kids are currently reading Harry potter again). So I guess I caved and took a hour or so on the lathe (I hate purple heart, pretty but the stuff sucks) and this is the result, nother wand, happy daughter

I find allot of the exotic hardwoods get dust up my nose that seems toxic. I rarely use them. My standby, free birch. some of the things I sell use some hardwood for accent etc. Nice to do things for the kids.

Nice work. I guess you are lucky she didn’t ask for an owl!
