You’re a box makin Machine! The feet appear to be larger than the sides, but not an ad on??? Do you plan them into the assembly? I’m looking at how boxes are constructed.

This is some beautiful wood.
It’s in good hands.

Tom...Thanks..! the feet are the same size as the sides…just an optical delusion that it appears to look bigger…the box starts out as a rectangular box. i always have a mental design of how the box will look before I glue it together…necessary placement of the dado for the bottom if it has legs or just a simple flat sitting box.
Sometimes the sculpting designs are roughly visualized and sometimes I just improvise.

Paul…I like the sinker cypress but some boards are much nicer than others and a number of the plain lookin boards get used for plain looking projects. I made several footstools, screen doors and tables out of the less attractive cypress that couldn’t make it into the box making pile.

Nice shape. Wooden hinges are realy good fit to this box. Wood grain looks great.
