The first pen is a Jr. Gentleman roller ball with spalted maple and a turquoise band. The second pen is the a Jr. Gentleman with a Stars & Stripes blank. I’ll finish it tomorrow. The third pen is a Sierra ball point with Bethlehem Olive. The first pen is a mistake pen, I was turning the cap which was supposed to have a turquoise band as well but the blank blew out and I had to match up the wood with a scrap piece and I was out of turquoise powder. The finish on the two completed pens is boiled linseed oil and CA glue.

Very nice pens. That first pen has got me wanting to deal with some spalted maple burl I’ve got. The stuff is so far gone, there seems to be more air than wood. It’s got that beautiful pattern though, so should be well worth the effort. Be sure to post the stars and stripes when you finish it.

Thanks Sef, I will post it this afternoon. By the way where did you get the kit for the ink pen in your profile? That’s a very nice pen you have there!

Some great pens. Give me some ideas for our woodworking club for door prizes.

Coastie, You can get the Majestic from PSI – PennStateIndustries.com. Just be sure to inspect the kits when they arrived. I LOVE the pens, but I’ve had issues with the finish quality. Thankfully, I’m not too far from the showroom, and can check before I buy.
