A friend asked me to make a lectern for him to use while he is reading or giving a lecture. So, this is what I came up with. It’s tabletop, so small and easy to move around. It has two places to put books or reading material, so he can use it either sitting or standing. And it has two compartments for holding books and papers and such.

He loved it. It’s made from stained okume plywood, stained cherry (that’s what it said on the can, it’s not exactly the cherry I am used to).

I have no photos of this but I covered the screws with stain and filler and gave it a glossy coat.

Let me know what you think.

Nice work, gave me some inspiration for a similiar project for someone.
