Nice job. What stain and finish did you use?

Sweet job, Jerry. I’m using poplar right now to build a toy box for my friend’s daughter, but the project is essentially a warm-up poplar prototype for the walnut and cherry hope chests of the same style to follow. The hope chests will go to my own two daughters, and then when my friend’s daughter comes of age her toybox will be replaced with a beautiful hope chest.
Your friend’s going to love this thing. Cheers!
