Basement Cabinets

We had to remodel the basement a couple years ago due to flooding and so I tore down the old built-in book shelves and made some new cabinets out of them. Since we were having a family move in with us (being empty nesters now), I added the reefer and some wiring to make a small kitchenette area for them. The detail work on the doors is just a cutout of some hardboard glued to the front. All reclaimed or recycled materials, but the hardware is new. The top is a large old door that had a real hard black formica like surface I got from the Rebuilding Center here in Portland. Cost me $15.

Very nice. The place where you got the door is way cool. Here in the Louisville area, we have stores called Re-Store. It’s a place where you can purchase used construction parts/material, etc.
