My wife thought it would be a good idea to use a few wooden bowls for our little Super Bowl party since there will be a lot of goodies. I was glad to help out. Two are made of bamboo flooring and cut into segments with a little highlighted ring. The other is made from a piece of walnut log that I had around. They are finished with shellac. Measurements are 7 1/2’’ – 7’’ – and a 6 1/2’‘
Our friends who are coming will pick a raffle number and the last digit of the total final score and two closest numbers will receive the bowl as a gift. Should be a fun party. Thanks for looking.

Dave white or yellow glue? Shellac is good for people.

What a COOL way to have a Super Bowl party!

Super Bowls for a Super Bowl party… SUPER WAY to go!

I hope Peyton Manning wins it this time… they other guy can do it next year… Might be Peyton’s last year.

Good looking bowls Dave, I’m pulling for Peyton, but I’m afraid that the “Big Kid” and his Panthers will win.

Xquietflyx, thanks. You did an awesome job on that bookcase.

Thomas I used titebond ll glue. Works great for those projects and sets up quick. No failures yet.

Mark, I still have a way to go on these segmented bowls, but I’m getting there.

Thanks Joe. I told my wife as long as we are using the bowls, we my as well give them away too,she agreed.
I would hope Manning wins but I’m kind of neutral. Should be a good game.

Thanks Bill, I sort of have the same feeling.

Thanks Lee. Thought I make it a little interesting with the guests.

Damn, I actually had some bamboo flooring that I snagged from a store dumpster but I never could figure out what to do with it! (whacking myself on the forehead)

Super bowls! Great idea on the giveaway too.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

real nice work on the turning. Thanks for including the picture of the crazy glue-up before you started… I always wondered how those types of bowls went together.

Nice bowls, Dave! I don’t care about football. Can I stop by for the food and a chance for a bowl?

;-)

Thanks for sharing!
