Another hinged clamp rack

I treated myself to Rockler’s Black Friday sale and got some more parallel clamps. Decided I needed a place to put them and found this design on a couple of websites. Just used red oak for this from a big box store. So far staying closed without any latches but I’ll probably add them later. I was going to try to incorporate a place for my spring clamps but nothing really looked right. Plus now I have space to add some more clamps!

Sorry the one picture is sideways. Couldn’t figure out how to get it upright.

I like the neat layered construction that saves space. Am I correct that there are unseen hinges on the left and each layer swings out horizontally?

Socrbent- Yes, there are two continuous hinges on the left side to allow each to swing out. I also put some pieces of weatherstripping on the top of the back rack to give the heads of the parallel clamps something to sit on and not slide around.

You can’t have too many clamps and you are ready for more!
Nice design and well done!

Nice work looks good and you have extra room for more. No matter what I build and plan to have extra space for future additions I always seem to need another 2 racks/ spaces. LOL

Nice job! At the first picture I thought it was hinged (and hung) from the ceiling!

Would you mind posting a link to where you found those plans? I really like that design, and I need to do something to better organize my clamps.

Thanks!!

Burb- I didn’t really have plans to go off of but if you google “hinged clamp rack” you will find a bunch of examples. I took my idea from those as well as the “space saving rack for bar clamps” on the Fine Woodworking site.
