This jewelry box is made out hard and soft wood . The size of the box is 7 inches wide, 7 inches long and 2 inches deep. It was scroll sawed and has two holes for different size jewelry. The hinges are made from cherry and has a heart cut in the back of the hinge. The jewelry box has no nails or screws and is dowel reinforced. The inside can have any color velvet you want. The size can be any size you want to build
The box is not stained but just has a clear coat to bring out the different colors of the wood.

Nice box for sure. That design is actually known as a “Weeping Heart.” It dates back to the Colonial period and maybe before. I have never been able to find the origin despite having spent a fair amount of time researching.

Very nice box. Like the extra heart on the hinges, and allways prefer the hand made wood hinges.
Great design.
Keep it up.
